Accessibility statement

I want every visitor to be able to use this website comfortably, including people with disabilities. This page describes what was done to make the site accessible and how to contact me if something does not work for you.

My commitment

I see accessibility as part of good service. I work to keep this website accessible as it changes, and I treat every report of an accessibility problem seriously.

Accessibility level and standard

The website was built to meet the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations 2013, regulation 35, which apply to internet services in Israel.

The target is Israeli Standard IS 5568 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

Adjustments made on this website

  • Keyboard: every link and button can be reached and used with the keyboard, with a clearly visible focus ring.
  • Skip link: the first item on each page lets you jump straight to the main content.
  • Contrast: text and background colors meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1, in both the light and the dark theme.
  • Accessibility toolbar: the round button at the bottom corner of each page lets you change the text size and turn on high contrast, highlighted links, a readable font, stopped animations, grayscale and underlined links. Your choices are saved on your device.
  • Text alternatives: images have a text description, and decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
  • Language and direction: the site is available in Hebrew and English. The page language and reading direction (right to left or left to right) are set for each language.
  • Dark mode: the site follows the light or dark setting of your device, and the button beside the language switch lets you choose and keeps your choice.
  • Responsive layout: the site adapts to phones, tablets and computers, from 320 pixels wide, and to browser zoom up to 200 percent, without sideways scrolling.
